#74 Two weeks back home

Hey guys,

this is a really short post, but I just wanted to let you all know that I am very good at home and I am going to school since monday. My new class is really great and I think I'll have a fab time!

When i cam eback on friday, my mum, dad adn my two brothers were waiting at teh airport for me adn it was great to see them again! I saw my dad when i was still waiting for my suitcase and as soon as Juli and I got all out stuff we started running!! We were thelast ones, hahah, but it was still great!

My mum had a sign she made for me and it was sooo nice to see them - you cant describe it! It is a special moment!

The family reunited again<3

Our first brekkie together on Saturday! We skyped my aussie family later!

On Sunday we went to a communion :)

I am going to keep this Blog active for my Aussie friends specially, so about one post every month :)

Roll Call: School starts at 8.30 am, but every morning before class we go to a classroom for 10 min, where the teacher “marks the roll” (checks that everybody is there), our school uniform s checked and daily notices are being read. Daily notices are informations we get about for example school photos, reminder about excursions or sport events,... Our year has 5 Roll call classes and at the beginning of the year they divide us in five groups – depending on you last name. Roll call goes from 8.30 – to 8.40 and the first period starts at 8.40.

CC: Certificate of Commendation -

When you do something good, for instance do a great job in your homework or behave good, teachers can give you a CC as a reward. Our school has a level system and after gaining a certain amount of CCs you can get to the next level.

In the end of the year you can get the principal's Award if you gained a certain amount of CCs over the year.

Houses: In our school, there are four houses: Dunk (yellow), Edmondson (green), Davidson(red) and Renold(blue). Everybody is part of a house, according to your last name. You elect a house captain who is the organiser and has the responsibility at sport events. The main sport events are the three Carnivals Swimming, Cross country and athletics. You dress up in your house colours and support your house by cheering and taking part in as many races possible. I am part of the Dunk house which means yellow as colour :)

Swimming Carnival: Every year there is a swimming carnival which takes place in February. It is a whole day where instead of going to school you go to a swimming pool and there are many swimming competitions and also social (fun) races. You dress up in your house colours and it is a competition between the houses. In the end there is going to be a winner, the house who won the most races. Our house – Dunk – won the swimming carnival 2015 :)
